More on Tobin Jones

In response to a vicious rant by  leftist extremist Tobin Jones that you can read at

http://www.kaleo.org/vnews/display.v/ART/2003/10/29/3f9f4c1b8e013?in_archive=1

Jones said : "It does not even matter if they are because the reason why you are here at the university level IS TO LEARN HOW TO THINK. You are supposed to use your brain to discern that which is true from that which is false. No one is venting his or her ideology at anyone."

My response: though universities are supposed to teach thinking skills, what some profs are doing is telling the students WHAT TO THINK!

And this nonsense about "No one is venting his or her ideology at anyone" is a load of crap! The reason why Tobin Jones doesn't think anyone is venting their ideology or indoctrinating is because all of Jones' profs are reaffirming his point of view. If a prof is forcing a leftist view on students, Tobin Jones will NOT call that indoctrination! Tobin Jones definition of indoctrination is forcing right-wing views on the students. Tobin Jones' definition of education is forcing left-wing views on the students.

The Rubbish of Tobin Jones

Now comes the fun part -battling with the latest ranting of that extreme leftist Tobin Jones. For those of you who don't know, Tobin Jones is a recent graduate of UH. But that doesn't stop him from obsessively denouncing me in the Ka Leo!

Go here for Tobin's rantings

and for my editorial he responded to

Tobin Jones was in my English 256 : Poetry and Drama class last summer. The only reason why I took that class was because the UH Colleges of Arts and Sciences requires its students to take 2 English literature courses. I HATE literature classes, even before I took Poetry and Drama class. Requiring literature classes is so pointless. After all, who gives a shit about a lot of these fiction stories assigned anyways. No one will ask in a job interview about what happened in some boring poem or drama assigned by some literature professor. And people can learn about social issues from social science classes, we don't need to read all these bullshit ficiton stories, bullshit poems assigned in class! Though if UH didn't require English Literature, Dr. Foltz would probably be running around Hotel Street in downtown Honolulu, ranting and raving to the passer-bys, who will think of him as just another Hotel Street junkie.

Now that you got some background info, let's go over Tobin Jones rantings. Jones said about Dr. Foltz "Only in the first five to ten minutes was there any conversation about current events, and the professor made it clear that he was tired of students not knowing what was going on in the world and this was his attempt to remedy the problem."

My response: since when is that the duty of a Poetry and Drama prof to remedy the problem of students being unaware of world events? His job is to teach Poetry and Drama, not current events. What else does Tobin Jones want? Does he believe that ICS profs should spend 5-10 minutes talking about agriculture? Hey, agriculture is important, but ICS prof should teach ICS, not agriculture. Same logic applies to those who teach Poetry and Drama.

Tobin Jones later says "He spoke against Bush because he does not like him. Plenty of educators don't like Bush."

My response: I really dont care if any prof was protesting President Bush's visit in his/her spare time. I had liberal profs who were WAY LESS ARROGANT than Tobin Jones' hero Dr. Foltz. And those profs didn't waste class time by whining about the President. They did what they're supposed to do - (gasp) stick to the subject they were hired to teach. So if a Poetry and Drama prof voted for Gore, but kept his politics outside of class, I wouldn't mind. Plus, how would Tobin Jones feel if his prof wasted class time by whining about Clinton, Jesse Jackson, Howard Dean, Ben Cayetano and other of Jones' liberal heroes? HMMM? HMMM? HMM?

Tobin Jones said "In fact, that professor made us buy a $50 poetry book that was used for all of three weeks. You even complained to him about it in class (in front of the class) and he told you that "you buy books to create a library; you're not here to rent them," and you started complaining like a 5-year-old!"

My response: Hey Tobin, sorry for not kissing your hero's ass! I dont give a shit about poetry or any other literature, since I only took it to get a core requirement over with. So I have no reason to keep Dr. Foltz's assigned book. So I sold it back, to get at least a small percentage of my hard earned money back! Why should I waste shelf space with boring fiction books that I only got to get a core requirement over with? Though I did sell those books, I think those books would've been put to better use as toilet paper!

Tobin Jones said : "I have spent quite a bit of time at the university level and I can safely say that the professors are not trying to indoctrinate the students with their own ideology "

My response :Ha! That proves that Tobin Jones has been brainwashed by his Radical Left professors! Anytime a prof is stating his opinion (especially in an arrogant manner that Dr. Foltz always does), the prof is indoctorinating the students. If his professors were mainly conservative, Tobin Jones would be rightfully complaining about the Right Wing Conspiracy at the university. But when I protest the Left Wing power at UH, I get compared to Jerry Falwell and the neo-Confederates by Tobin Jones. Jones' statement also shows that he is nothing but an ass kisser! He kissed Foltz's ass, and I'm sure he kissed other professors' asses as well.

Tobin Jones said : "I offered to send you to Mississippi so you could be around those people, but you haven't taken me up on my proposition."

My response. I'll go to Mississippi if Tobin Jones move to North Korea, a nation controlled by left-wing extremists for over 50 years. That way, Jones can SUPPLEMENT all his education at this university about how all these Marxist ideas are so great.

Tobin Jones said : "He was not trying to change your mind, although every time you answered a question in class, you were wrong."

My response: Hey Tobin, I remember you were whining to the professor after class when you said "I'm struggling in this class". So stop acting as if you're some fuckin genius cuz you aint! And also, Dr. Foltz claims that poems and dramas have no hidden meaning, but that is so bullshit! And when one doesn't give a hidden meaning Foltz is looking for, Foltz yells out "NO" This is so hypocritical of Foltz, especially when he wants class participation!

Tobin Jones said: "You didn't even try to defend your point, you shut up then, and started to write now"

My response: I could argue with Foltz all day, but I didn't because the other students didn't pay all their hard earned to spend an hour hearing me and Foltz argue! I didn't argue the whole class time, since that would take away what little time Foltz spends on teaching Poetry and Drama. That I didnt waste class time, shows I had consideration for other students and took the high road. Consideration and taking the high road is something that neither Tobin Jones and Dr. Foltz can ever understand.

And one more thing: I'm not scared to fight  Dr. Foltz and I'm not scared to fight Tobin Jones. That I never initiated a fight with Jones or his idol Dr. Foltz shows my ability to restrain myself.

And Tobin Jones is so small, he reminds me of that song by Skeelo "I wish I was a little bit taller." And look at Tobin Jones' eyes! It looks as if he was smoking some marijuana earlier in the day. Just compare Tobin Jones' eyes to the eyes of all those Hotel Street junkies. Not much difference.

Tobin Jones said : "If you will check the definition of a McCarthyite (not "McCarthyist"), you will see that that is a person that uses "subversive tactics" by means of widely publicized indiscriminate allegations especially on the basis of unsubstantiated charges."

My response : Unsubstantiated arguments? Tobin Jones made an unsubstantiated statement by saying "David Horowitz, a conservative holdout who longs for the "good ol' days" when White was right and everyone else had to shut up." There is no evidence that Horowitz is a segregationist or a racist.

But for Tobin Jones, anyone who disagrees with Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or Louis Farrakhan, is a "racist". So that's about all I have to say for now about that ass-kissing, Radical Leftist punk that goes by the name of Tobin Jones.

Introduction

This is my introductory post on this blog.

A description of myself: I am a sociology major at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, who plans to one day start a record label. I want to make records that goes against the political correctness of both the Left and Right.

I am a centrist with libertarian leanings on some issues. But UH-Manoa's climate is so far to the Left, that Radical Leftists like Tobin Jones might consider me "far right" just because I disagree with many of the orthodoxies of the Radical Left. Anyone who doesn't kiss the asses of the Radical Left is considered "right wing." The Far Left claims to be against the "with us or against us" doctorine, but in reality, when it comes to politics, the Far Left view is "you're either with the Far Left or with the racist, homophobic, sexist, polluting, fascist right wing nazis".

But if I was at BYU or Bob Jones University, I might be considered "far left" since I don't believe in locking up drug users with violent felons, and I don't believe that government should outlaw abortion, prostitution, immigration, sex ed, or hardcore music. But Tobin Jones and the ilk will ignore all that, because I (gasp) also dont believe in affirmative discrimination, the "Blame America for Everything" worldview, gun control, radical feminism, socialism, or unlimited welfare.

So I hope you enjoy my posts
