I know football season is over, but some controversies ought to be addressed

1) Someone ought to fire Colorado coach Gary Barnett already! A guy who defends his rapist players and attacks the character and skills of their accussers has no business coaching a college football team.

It's a shame that Mark Price could get fired from Alabama for a minor mishap (partying with strippers), yet Colorado still hasn't fired Barnett who is indirectly allowing his players to commit sexual assault.

As for that female kicker who got raped by a teammate and left the team, all Barnett could've said was "No comment"! But no, he attacked her kicking skills. That alone tells me Barnett is a dumbass who ought to fired!

2) When will someone start female football in college already, so that a girl who wants to play the game doesn't have to put up with being the only woman in a team full of men. We already got female basketball, volleyball, soccer, teams, why not football?

3) Maurice Clarret isn't taking part in tryouts because he's out of shape? Then why did he sue to get into the NFL if he's not in proper shape? I thought he ought to continue playing college football for at least another 2 years, then go pro! He may have had a successfull freshman season at Ohio State, but that guarantees nothing in the NFL!

Left-Wing indoctrination at UH addressed

 Today, the Ka Leo's news section finally addressed something that I written about in my editorials. That is the left-wing indoctrination going on at the University of Hawaii.

The pervasive student fear that disagreeing with professors will destroy their grade is something all three of these professors work against, encouraging students to develop and voice their own opinions.

Still, some students feel that bringing politics into non-political classes is questionable.

Michelle, a history senior at UHM, who asked her last name be omitted from the story, feels "many professors are anti-American."

As a more mature student, Michelle felt confident in creating her own opinions, but, she admitted, "freshmen coming in can believe everything the teacher says."

"I'd say it's (UH's political slant) is more to the left, but that's college education in general," said Charles Leaver, a senior in Information Computer Science at UHM. "There's some professors who push their opinion."

Leaver, who came from UCS, claims the atmosphere is much more conservative there.

"It crosses the line when somebody's brave enough to voice a different opinion and they get blasted," he said.

This editorial took me by surprise, since the news section has never address this issue before. But in a few days, I predict that Tobin Jones will accuse me of being behind this Ka Leo expose, even though I knew nothing about it until it was printed and distributed today.

And notice that "Michelle" didn't even want to give her last name. Why is that? It's the fear of retaliation from punks like Tobin Jones and his allies.

Tobin believes it is OK for left wing proffessors to intimidate non-leftist students into kissing their asses. Tobin calls that "supplementing".

Car Racing

Last Friday, on the H-1 freeway, 2 cars crashed into a big truck, killing 4 people, injuring 2 others, causing a huge fire and blocking traffic the whole day! The people in the 2 cars were racing when they hit the truck

Now, Hawaii lawmakers are debating what to do with those who race on public roads.

Some people we should just suspend their driver's liscence for 5 years. That's TOO SOFT!

Those who race on public roads should 1) be thrown in jail for at least 5 years, 2) have all their automobiles and auto-related problems confiscated FOREVER, 3) Never allowed to have a driver license for the next 5 years after parole, 4) be whipped harshly like they do in Singapore.

Some say that's too harsh! Excuse me! That's nowhere as harsh as what those public road racers do, which cause accidents and KILL OR SEVERELY INJURE INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR CAR RACES!

Of course, we shouldn't put 5 ft. 4 in. car racers in the same prison cell as a 6 ft. 5in. murderer. And we will give consueling to racers while imprisoned. But consueling without harsh punishment is useless to the public road racers. Rehab and punishment goes hand in hand! We cane their asses and let em know in no uncertain terms, the harsh consequences of public road racing to innocent individuals.

The police ought to stop wasting their time arresting gamblers and prostitutes and start chasing and arresting public road racers!

And the police should stop busting people for smoking weed at home. But if one drives while high on weed, it's jail time. Just like drunk drivers. We legalize drinking at home or in bars but we punish drunk drivers. We ought to have the same policy for marijuana!
