Fight at Farrington High School

Again, another ethnic related fight at a Hawaii high school, and again, the ethnic relations side of it has been under-discussed!

At Farrington High School in Kalihi, a fight broke out between a Filipino gang and a Samoan gang.

In that article, one would only find out that it was Filipinos vs Samoans in the 18th paragraph of that article.

Again the local media is failing to address ethnic tensions in Hawaii high schools.

It is NO SECRET that at Farrington High School, there have been conflicts between Samoans and Filipinos (many of whom are immigrants). It is NO SECRET that many in Hawaii mock Filipino accents and Filipino foods. It is NO SECRET that Samoans are stereotyped as big bullies!

Just think about it, put 2 VERY DIFFERENT ethnic groups in one high school. Many within those ethnic groups are immigrants. Some in both groups are immature about cultural differences. Of course, there's going to be tension. Yet, again, the local media hasn't addressed that issue.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying that all Filipinos hate all Samoans, nor do I say that all Samoans hate Filipinos. In fact, I know some who are part-Samoan, part-Filipino. But that doesn't erase the fact that there are tensions between those 2 groups.

Tasers and Guns

1) Gun control fanatics were happy when police started using tasers. They hoped tasers would replace guns, thinking that tasers won't kill.

But tasers do kill. They have killed suspects caught by police.

2) Leftist punk-ass/gun-control fanatic/ race-card abuser Michael Moore loves to accuse pro-gun people of being white supremacists. Bullshit!

I was at a Honolulu gun expo in 2003, and I saw whites, blacks, Asians, and Hawaiians selling, buying and checking out guns and other related items. In fact, some of the Asians I saw were the types who looked so clean-cut that very few would suspect that they would be interested in guns. But they were. However, Micheal Moore and his allies would ignore that fact.

Moore also ignores the fact in the late 1800's, Southern states passed gun control laws for the sole purpose of keeping African Americans defenseless. This gave advantage of the KKK to ride their horses, beat African Americans to death, and burn their property.

This is so idiotic. Those "higly regarded sociologists" who cared "more about moral principles than hard facts" forget what the whole purpose of sociology is. It wasn't supposed to be about advocacy per se. Sociology was supposed by about studying social interactions with (drumroll please) hard data! It was supposed to use scientific methods in studying social interactions. Anyways, one more excerpt!

Kohn’s own research for Shooters, some of which appeared in this magazine (“Their Aim Is True,” May 2001), elicited predictable responses. Disgusting people? Sociologists have been infiltrating drug-trafficking mafias, street gangs and other dangerous groups for research purposes. That's been going on for DECADES! Yet, liberal sociologists feel that they're above researching people who (gasp) just shoot at targets?

Studying target shooters as disrespecting shooting victims? That's as stupid as saying "studying martial arts enthusiasts is disrespectful towards those brutally beaten to death"

Imagine if Tobin Jones or Dr Foltz was teaching math. Kids wouldn't be learning how to add, subtract, multiply or divide. Kids would learn that Republicans are evil, and that anyone who disagrees are racists, homophobic, sexists, and uneducated. Meanwhile, those kids will go out in the work world not knowing how to do basic math. Not only would those kids be unqualified to be accountants or engineers, they wouldn't qualify to be carpenters. Students wanting to be carpenters have been turned away from carpenter-training courses because they couldn't do simple math, nor understand basic measurements! They had to take remedial math just to enter those training courses.

Restriction on Immigration Endangering Lives

Anti-immigration fanatic Michelle Malkin loves to accuse anyone opposing anti-immigration laws of "endangering American lives". Whenever anyone says anything pro-immigration, Malkin talks about 9/11 in order to intimidate anyone into silence. Nevermind that Timothy McVeigh was NOT a native of Oklahoma. In fact, he was from Buffallo, NY. By Malkin's logic, anyone who doesn't want to restrict immigration from New York to Oklahoma is spitting on the graves of the victims of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

Enough of terrorism, anti-immigration laws endanger lives. A man awaiting a kidney transplant isn't getting one anytime soon. Why? Because the man with the perfectly matching kidney is living in the Phillipines, and the US immigration officials isn't giving that Filipino man a visa to come to Hawaii to donate the kidney

For six years, Francisco Guerrero has had his blood cleansed by a machine for several hours three times a week at St. Francis Medical Center in Honolulu because his kidneys have failed.

In the Philippines, his son, Glenn, studies architecture and waits with a life-saving kidney that is considered a near-perfect match for his father. But the U.S. government won't grant the 28-year-old a temporary visa because he can't prove he'll return to the Philippines.

The Guerreros' plight is not uncommon at St. Francis, the only organ transplant center in the Central Pacific. There are at least 15 Filipino patients there who face the same bureaucratic roadblocks to getting a visa for an organ donor, and all have been rejected. They have all but given up hope of bringing their relatives to the United States for the life-saving surgery. No patients are known to have died while trying to cut the red tape after finding a donor match. But hospital officials said many Filipinos have a rare blood type and die while waiting for a kidney because they never find a match.

Of course, Michelle Malkin, Pat Buchanan, Joseph Farrah, and other anti-immigration fanatics have ZERO COMPASSION for those awaiting donated organs. They hope no one would ever read the mentioned Honolulu Advertiser article! They want you to think that any leniency on immigration means another 9/11, nevermind the people dying due to anti-immigration restricrions mentioned above.

Ward Churchill - despicable scum

Colorado professor Ward Churchill has publicly sympathized with the 9/11 terrorists. He actually declared that the executives working at the World Trade Center deserved it! (Note to Tobin Jones : is that what you call supplementing?)

In reactions to Ward Churchill's statements, there have been calls for firing him. What adds to this whole brouhaha is that Churchill is working at a taxpayer-funded university, yet he has the nerve to say he doesn't work for the taxpayers? What bullshit!

As Churchill has lurched through Indian identities, he has not found a single Native relative or ancestor. He is descended from a long line of Churchills that Hank Adams has traced back to the Revolutionary War and Europe. Adams, who is Assiniboine-Sioux and a member of the Frank's Landing Indian Community, has successfully researched and exposed other pseudo-Indians. Adams traced Churchill's ancestors on both sides of his family, finding all white people, including documented slave owners and at least one spy, but zero Indians.

It's important for Native mothers and fathers to speak out because pseudo-Indians do things that affect our children. Churchill will not be discriminated against on the basis of being Indian, but he is placing our children and grandchildren in harm's way by creating ill will and hostility against Indians. Native kids and elders who actually look Native are the ones who suffer from the blowback.
