As of this month, I've been living at my current apartment near UH-Manoa for 15 years!
Back in 2013, I wrote a blog post celebrating my one-decade at my apartment. You can read it at

I love the location because convenience is my #1 priority! Easy access to UH-Manoa, Waikiki and downtown. All accessible by walk, bus or bike :)
However, I would like to live in a larger apartment. That way I have more room for a wider desk for my computer, as well as have another bookshelf!
As mentioned in the 2012 blog posts, I had to spend time that summer clearing out the clutter. You can read them at

The 2012 summer cleaning session did wonders for my mental health.
However, the war against clutter never ends. Once stuff gets cleared out, new stuff slowly rises to take its place.
That's why earlier this summer, I did another major cleaning session. I basically threw up folders of articles that I kept in my bookshelf. Also cleared out more piles of papers that was waiting to be put in folders. They were just taking up space, so I got rid of them.
However, being that I've been working full-time at a temp job the last few weeks, I haven't had the time to complete my apartment makeover. While I definitely don't need an intense makeover that I had in 2012, I still feel the need to clear out a few more items, and reorganize my remaining items.
The rent has been going up every year. Considering my income vs the rising rents, I'm more concerned about being able to afford remaining in my apartment than I am about moving into a bigger apartment.
But if I have the income to afford a larger apartment, I might move.
I have no interest in getting a house. I have no interest in maintaining a lawn.
An apartment with space and a convenient location is all I need 😃
