Abuse allegations and gender double standards

Don't have time to write much  right now, but I really wanted to share this post

Here's my re-write on what I posted

(QUOTE)

Twenty-four male graduates from Kamehameha Schools and two from other schools allege in a lawsuit filed today that they were systematically sexually abused and prescribed inappropriate prescription drugs as children by the head of Kamehameha’s department of psychiatry, who later shot himself to death in 1991 when confronted by the allegations.

(UNQUOTE)

Notice that when Bill Cosby's victims finally went public, people ask "why did you wait so long?" But when male victims of molestation wait decades to go public, there isn't much questions of "why did you wait so long?"

Gender double standards, anyone?

control your curiosity

It's good to have some curiosity but some people take it way too far! We are all guilty of it, but it's good to learn when to control your curiosity so you don't make the other person uncomfortable with your excessive questions!

While I do write blog posts about certain life situations and do write facebook posts almost daily, that doesn't mean I am obligated to answer personal questions that are really none of your business.

I mean, I try to avoid asking the following questions to people

  • how much money you make
  • any questions about anyone's sex life
  • any questions about traumatic events

And if I do ask those questions, and the person doesn't want to answer  -- I stop asking about the subject!

and if someone doesn't answer certain questions .... Do NOT take that personal!

-------------

Don't Kiss And Tell

This means DO NOT TALK ABOUT   and DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS about any sexual activities.

(only exception : if dealing with a health professional or any law enforcement or legal professional dealing with serious health and/or criminal cases)

Women are usually (but not always) sensitive to this! They don't like it when their boyfriends/lovers/one-night-stands/whatevers tell their friends about their sexual activities!

So if you take a groupie home, and your friends want to know more?????  DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING!    DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!!!

I mean, I remember back in school days, when my friends tell me what girl they like, I NEVER TELL THEM what girl I like!

I mean, it's none of your damn business!  Figure out it yourself!!

And plus, when I found out this guy like this girl...........oh shizz, I was making fun of the whole situation!

I didn't want to be made fun out of  (by people who act like me), so I said NOTHING when someone ask "what girl you like?"  I was too smart to fall into that trap!

The Game is to be sold Not to be Told

90's era hip-hop fans might remember that phrase from the title of Snoop Dogg's album that came out in 1998. That was the album he did when he joined the No Limit family and worked with Master P!

The phrase "The Game is to be sold, Not to be Told" mean you sell an idea but YOU DON'T TELL THE DETAILS.

That was supposed to originate with the drug dealing business, but it applies to all businesses. Especially your personal business!

You sell the idea, let the people figure out the details for themselves!

I might post a few party photos on facebook, but I'm NOT telling the details. In other words, I'm selling the party life, not telling the details. I'm selling the game, not telling the game!

So you see this photo on facebook from a night of clubbing, and you want to ask "did you freak dance with any girls?"    .................I'M NOT TELLING YOU!

Sometimes in life, you just have to be there!

If you ain't there, you ain't going to know!

I don't kiss & tell!

I will NOT tell you details of who I was dancing with! Or if we did anything afterwards  (use your own imagination)

and again...................

If you ain't there, you ain't going to know!

Sometimes in life, you just have to be there!

Here's  the YouTube speech on that issue

"Control Your Curiosity"

PS: OK, I will give one important detail about my party life: I don't do any drugs nor do I drink any alcohol!  I am willing to take any breathalyzer test any night I'm at the club!

PS #2: Do NOT confuse my "no telling" message with the "no snitching, no tattling message".  If you are  a victim or a witness of a violent crime, yes DO TELL the authorities!

In-person consultations superior to phone consultations

Here is a letter to Bervar & Jones, a law firm covered by Legal Shield, a pre-paid legal service

In the interest of dealing with my personal finances and as well as re-evaluating who I am doing business with, I am currently reconsidering whether I shall continue with LegalShield and Bervar & Jones.

The main factor that is motivating me to switch away from using LegalShield and Bervar & Jones is that when I was dealing with case #(number deleted from this blog post) , I asked Attorney Thuan Costa if I could meet with her to discuss the case, and she responded "we only do this over the phone".

I find this to be an extremely unacceptable business practice and I totally regret not pressing further to have an in-person consultation. An in-person consultation is vastly superior to a phone consultation  for the following reasons

  • static over the phone
  • wind interference
  • volume issues with the phone
  • in-person I can just point out to a document instead of wasting my breath saying 5 sentences when I can just point "this statement right here"
  • Better for the client to have a scheduled in-person consultation than to have to wait for the phone to ring!

Never again will I EVER accept any attorney services that don't allow for the option of an in-person consultation!

If Bervar & Jones will not accept having in-person consultations in any of my future dealings, then I will have to say "Bye Felicia" to both Legal Shield  and Bervar & Jones!

Please let me know within 2 weeks with a written statement that I will be guaranteed an in-person consultation (option) for any case I might deal with, otherwise, I will move on to a more suitable attorney service!

Mahalo,

Pablo Wegesend

PS:  This was dealing with a case dealing with "Professional Victim Professor", which I wrote several blog posts about!

a pathetic attorney too stupid to realize the severe flaws of phone consultations. Too much of a coward to do in-person consultations
