Being traumatized by 9/11 is NO EXCUSE for racist hatred and stereotype!
Mature adults can be traumatized by terror attacks AND still believe in treating everyone from every nation as individuals instead of members of groups!
Mature adults can be traumatized by terror attacks AND understand that not every Muslim/Middle Easterner/etc supported those attacks!
Mature adults can be traumatized by terror attacks AND acknowledge that stereotyping and profiling based on ethnicity is wrong.
Mature adults can demand that terrorists be brought to justice AND want everyone else from the same ethnicities to be left alone!
This "I'm traumatized by 9/11, now I'm going to hate all Muslims/Middle Easterners/etc because I'm mad & scared" is immature horse-trash! It's bad enough coming from a middle schooler, but it's much worse coming from an adult!
If Hawaii can be mature about its Pearl Harbor trauma, then it's time for the continental USA to grow up and start mature about its 9/11 trauma!

Trump deplorables try to scare us by saying they won't spend their $$$ on us!
We can get our $$$ elsewhere.
In fact, I'll say that if Hawaii becomes independent, we can attract foreign tourists who don't want to put up with US travel restrictions!
Who the hell wants to come to a country where they'll be harassed by authorities on arrival?
So it's Donald Trump that's a danger to Hawaii.
Time for Hawaii to become independent!
That way, we can stop with this silliness of being afraid of Muslims/Middle Eastern tourists!
That way, we can start doing advertising campaigns in India, Indonesia, and the Middle East to encourage their people to visit and do business here!
Imagine some of the Dubai $$$ coming here! We could use it!
Imagine having more Turkish, Egyptians, Nigerian and Indonesians coming as tourists, exchange students and entrepreneurs.
Imagine tech executives from India investing their $$$ in Hawaii.
Time to diversify the groups of foreigners visiting and investing here!
While I respect the North Americans, East Asians and Australians who make up most of our tourists and foreign investors, it will be GREAT to have more variety of people visiting and investing here!
We can also add other foreigners that scares the deplorables : Latin Americans.
Let's get more Mexican, Colombian, Peruvian, Chilean, Brazilian and Argentinian tourists here!
And when Cuba starts to embrace capitalism more, we can get Cubans to experience a different type of tropical paradise!
Let's have more Spanish speakers walking around Waikiki and doing business deals on Bishop Street
And if that scares the Trump's deplorables --- GOOD!
It's not like these white nationalists would even like being in Hawaii anyways.
